History:

Osceola Park was the home field of the Osceola Indians of the class D Northeast Arkansas League during the 1936 season.

The park, which has no official known name, was located at the corner of Johnson St and Walnut St in downtown Osceola across the street from the Mississippi County Courthouse. A grandstand, seating approximately 1,000, was located behind home plate.

When Osceola Park opened is unknown, though the first professional game there occurred on May 7th, 1936 when Osceola opened league play against the Paragould Rebels. In preparation for the season, Osceola Park was enlarged and the grandstand was remodeled.

Osceola continued to use the park for the remainder of the season, finishing second in the league. The team returned for another season in 1937, but instead moved into a new athletic field at the Osceola High School. In the spring of 1937, the site of Osceola Park was cleared and baseball was never played there again.
